Arnold Palmer Receives
50 Year Tall Cedar Award
In 1960, PGTC Harrisburg Forest #43, Paul D. Bodwell, Jr. was installed as Supreme Tall Cedar of North America. During his term as Supreme Tall Cedar he had the pleasure of making Arnold Palmer a “Cedar at Sight” and a member of Westmorland Forest #77.
That same year, Arnold Palmer won the US Open Golf Championship at Cherry Hills.
And as chance would have it; In 2010, PGTC Harrisburg Forest #43, Harry E. Horgan was installed as Supreme Tall Cedar of North America.
On June 22, 2010 The Supreme Tall Cedar of North America, Harry E. Horgan, traveled to Latrobe, PA to present Arnold Palmer with his 50 year member pin and certificate. Arnie was made a Tall Cedar of Westmorland Forest #77 in 1960 by Paul Bodwell who was the Supreme Tall Cedar at that time. 1960 was the same year Arnold Palmer won the US Golf Championship at Cherry Hills.
