Samuel C. Williamson

Brother Williamson was elected an Honorary Member of the International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay in 1983 and elected an Active Member in 1986. He was appointed Executive Officer of DeMolay in Pennsylvania in 1987. He served a two year term as the Region II Representative on the I.S.C. Board of Directors in 1993-1994.
Brother Willliamson received the Active Legion of Honor degree from the International Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay; the Grand Cross of Color from the International Order of the Rainbow For Girls, and served as a member of the Senior Grand Executive Committee of the Grand Assembly, Rainbow For Girls, Pennsylvania.


Brother Williamson is a Right Worshipful Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Pennsylvania. A member of Tyrian Lodge No. 612 located in Wilmerding, PA, Brother Williamson served as Worshipful Master in 1959. He was appointed District Deputy Grand Master of the 54th Masonic District in 1962 and served through 1971. He was appointed a member of the Committee on Masonic Homes in 1971 and was elected to the progressive line of officers as Junior Grand Warden in 1975. He served a two-year term as Right Worshipful Grand Master in 1982-1983.
Brother Williamson was elected to serve as the Chairman of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons International for the 1982-1983 term. He received the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award from the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania in 1984.


During his term as the Right Worshipful Grand Master, Brother Williamson founded the Pennsylvania Youth Foundation, a program owned and operated by the Grand Lodge to promote and support the Masonic-related youth groups such as the Order of DeMolay, the Order of Job's Daughters and the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. He has served on the Board of Directors as an officer of the corporation since its inception and presently serves as Chairman.
Brother Williamson is a Past High Priest of Valley Royal Arch Chapter No. 289, having served as High Priest in 1979. He is a member of Liberty Valley Council No. 50, Royal and Select Master Masons, and Duquesne Commandery No. 72, Knights Templar.
A member of the Valley of Pittsburgh, he is a Past Commander-in-Chief of the Pennnsylvania Consistory and was coroneted an Honorary Thirty-Third Degree Mason in 1977.

Fisher Mark Lodge and the Pennsylvania Masonic Homes High Twelve Club No. 629.
A lifelong resident of Pitcairn, PA, Brother Williamson obtained his education in the public schools of the borough and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1950 from the University of Pittsburgh.
Employed by United States Steel Corporation (now USX Corp) since his discharge from the United States Army in 1952, Brother Williamson retired as Superintendent of the Chemicals Department at the Clairton Works.
Active in his community and in business, Brother Williamson served as a Vice President and Director of the Sentinel Savings Association of Delmont, PA. He was elected to Pitcairn Borough Council from 1967 to 1973. He is a Past Director of the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and a member of the USX Good Fellowship Club.


Brother Williamson is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers; the American Chemical Society; the Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke Oven Association, and is a Past President and a Past Director of the River Terminal Operators Association, Port of Pittsburgh.
